Now how about a history of nougat? As a child at our yearly St.Rocco parish feast in Newark NJ a nougat maker made table-sized sheets that he sold by the nickel. In Venice(poor wet city!) last April a nougat store was a high point. It cost more but was just as good, and was gone before we were back in Boston!
